Emmerdale spoilers: How do Andrea Tate and Graham Foster know each other?

ITV soap Emmerdale aired a big reveal this evening (Tuesday, June 11) over the course of its double bill. The episodes focused on the Tate family as Kim Tate (played by Claire King) discovered the truth about her daughter-in-law Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale). Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) admitted his connection to Kim, who was left rocked by the development.

How do Andrea Tate and Graham Foster know each other?

Graham employed Andrea to spy on Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) for him while Kim was in prison.

Kim had initially asked Graham to look out for her beloved son but he’d found it tough.

Instead, Graham had employed Andrea for her “services” to keep an eye on Jaime.

WHO PLAYS ANDREA TATE IN EMMERDALE?

Graham had found Andrea in a bar he frequented and paid her regularly for any updates on Jamie.

However, there was a sense that Graham could have had other motives for keeping tabs on Jamie which could come out later on.

Andrea threw a spanner in the works though when she fell in love with Jamie and cut off all contact with Graham.

She also stopped accepting money from Graham and went underground with him never hearing from her again.

Andrea begged Graham not to say anything, telling him it was all in the past now and she’d moved on with her life.

After Kim found out everything, she confronted Andrea and demanded that she told Jamie the truth.

Jamie is sadly in the dark about his wife and has unwittingly had a child with the woman who was brought in to spy on him.

The truth is likely to come out about Andrea soon but whether Jamie will side with Andrea or his mother is yet to be seen.

Given Jamie’s attitude and cynicism towards Kim, he could support Andrea and blame his mother for it.

Emmerdale fans will have to wait and see how the storyline pans out but there’s the sense that more secrets about Andrea’s sketchy past will be coming out.

Soap star Lincoln has also teased an upcoming confrontation between Kim and Andrew.

He told Digital Spy: “I think Jamie has been fairly open with Andrea, telling her what his mum has done and who she is. He has tried to paint a picture of Kim to Andrea.

“You’ll see that Andrea is less innocent than Jamie is. Jamie doesn’t assume the worst of people – apart from his mum! Andrea is a bit more hard, so that makes it quite interesting when her and Kim meet.”

He continued: “Andrea is not going to take any nonsense from Kim and there’ll be a dramatic relationship there.”

Emmerdale continues on ITV tomorrow at 7pm
