EastEnders spoilers: Sonia Fowler terrified by shocking Stuart reveal as Bex disappears

In the wake of her disappearance, her mother Sonia Fowler (played by Natalie Cassidy) finds out something unsettling about lodger Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ), but all is not as it seems.

To cope with her exam stress, Bex (Jasmine Armfield) has developed a pill addiction to help her stay alert to study.

However, taking medication she does not need in excess is taking its toll on her mind on the BBC soap.

After she has an embarrassing exchange with her crush Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) in an upcoming EastEnders episode, Bex vanishes.

Sonia and Martin Fowler (James Bye) fret about their daughter’s safety and fears about Stuart soon arise, all thanks to Rainie Branning (Tanya Franks).

Viewers saw Rainie try to get Stuart in trouble with Sonia by lying about seeing him embracing a schoolgirl although he defended himself when asked about it by Sonia.

Rainie did see Stuart hugging Bex, and she took a photo of the pair, but it only came after Stuart had helped the youngster out by taking her to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting.

But the photo will spark panic when Sonia and Martin see it after Bex goes missing and think Stuart is involved in her disappearance.

They don’t know the context of the snap and so fear the worst for their daughter.

Meanwhile, poor Bex is away from home and very vulnerable in her addled state.

Will she be able to make it back home safely?

It’s an especially tough time for Bex at the moment as it’s the anniversary of Shakil Kazemi’s (Shaheen Jafargholi) death.

It’s been a year since the teenager was tragically killed as a result of knife crime on the Square.

Bex and Shakil’s brother Kush will head to his grave on the anniversary to pay their respects and reminisce about their lost loved one.

But the atmosphere turns when Kush rejects Bex after she makes a declaration of love – and the aftermath leads to her running away.

Later on, Bex decides to faces up to the situation and apologise to Kush.

However, she may be set for further heartbreak when she sees him with new love Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).

Kat and Kush have been flirting for a while and finally bedded each other in recent episodes.

While they were trying to keep their fling a secret it didn’t last long when Martin and Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner) caught them out.

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One.
