EastEnders spoilers: Ben Mitchell clashes with dad Phil as he returns to the Arches

BEN Mitchell is going to make a shocking discovery in EastEnders when he returns.

The mechanic – who is now played by actor Max Bowden in the BBC soap – will stun his family when he arrives back in Walford just over a year after fleeing abroad with part of the stolen heist money.

He doesn't waste any time in revealing why he is back when he goes over to The Arches.

Ben was made owner of the business two years ago by Phil when he was giving away his assets, but recently Phil appears to be in financial difficulty and wants them back.

And when Ben returns it doesn't take him long to work out what his dad has been up to and the pair have a heart to heart.

A recent spoiler-packed trailer revealed the moment Ben told Phil how together they could rebuild the Mitchell name.

He told his dad: "Come on dad, you and me. We can make the Mitchell name mean something again."

It also reveals how Kathy is the one to bring Ben home, begging him to return saying: "Your dad is about to do something very stupid. You need to come home."

Filming pictures have revealed Keanu Taylor will be involved in Ben's comeback as the pair team up to deal with rival gangster Danny Hardcastle.

Meanwhile Sharon has her own battles to fight as Keanu tells her he hates her and she brutally takes out her rage by punching drugs gang member Stix when he comes for her son Dennis.

Max Bowden is set to take on the role of Ben Mitchell when he returns next month joined by Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) and his daughter, Lexi.

His return to EastEnders will air next month.
