Breda to kill Jack in Hollyoaks after discovering his murderous past?

Breda McQueen’s (Moya Brady) murderous rampage could be about to claim another victim, namely her partner Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna) after discovering his own dark past.

Breda is already responsible for the murders of Glenn Donovan, Carl Costello, Russ Owen, Louis Loveday and Mac Nightingale, but it seems Jack could be in the firing line following a botched proposal.

As revealed in a previous flashback episode, a 15-year-old Jack inadvertently delivered the killing blow to cause local lad Callum’s death, after beating him up with his brother.

In the coming episodes, Jack is set to get engaged for the fifth time to killer Breda, but his initial plans to propose don’t go quite as planned.

Jack gathers their families in The Dog to pop the big question, but Breda is concerned about school kids partying at her pig farm filled with incriminating evidence – causing her to flee as Jack proposes.

Keen to get answers, Jack runs after her which leaves Breda in an awkward spot to explain her actions. In response, she decides to propose to Jack to keep him quiet.

Breda, however, also learns about Jack’s murderous past, but will this end up becoming the comeuppance Jack never received for his crime?

Addressing whether she feels betrayed after learning Jack’s past, actress Moya Brady says: ‘Initially yes. But obviously it’s a complex situation.

‘She is more understanding once she finds out Jack was a child himself, and the terribly tragic circumstances surrounding it.

‘You know Breda can take on layers of complexity even though things seem black and white. She gets that it’s not a straight-forward situation and he’s not a bad person.’

But could she murder someone she cares for?

‘Not if it was for the greater good,’ Moya says. ‘Breda believes that god comes first and the children come first too so sacrifices must be made..’

Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm, with E4 screening episodes first at 7pm.
