Bids on Katie Price’s second hand Barbie jeep rocket to over £12,300 as desperate fans try to snap it up – despite car only being worth £1,500

The troubled 40-year-old has decided to make some quick cash from the vehicle after getting a three month driving ban – despite claims she still owes £3,500 to the company who customised it for her.

Bids on Katie Price's pink Barbie car have now risen from £595 to over £12,300.

She revealed she was selling the vehicle in a message to fans on Instagram, and said: “Soo now I’m banned from driving the cars are going this one is on eBay 254073076749 when I get my license back new car fresh start.”

Since going up on the website, the car has already had over 95 bids with the number steadily rising.

It's thought Katie put the car on for just £500 to avoid paying higher fees on eBay.

Last week Katie pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and to driving without third-party insurance.

She was banned from driving for three months and given a fine of £1,295, which she said she could not afford at the time as she has recently just swerved bankruptcy.

Katie , who has been selling a number of her items online to raise cash, approached Robbie Orlando from Valet Magic in Camberley, Surrey, to pimp up the car in exchange for publicity on her show Katie Price: My Crazy Life last year.

But despite spending days filming with Robbie, the car didn’t feature in the series – leaving the disgruntled car customizer out of pocket by nearly £3,500 after spending weeks working on her car.

He told The Sun Online previously: “The whole thing leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

"I feel like I have been duped.

“She owes us about £3,500 and is refusing to answer my calls about it, so I have no choice but to take her to court.”
