George H.W. Bush Is Laid to Rest in Texas

His final resting place. George H.W. Bush was buried in College Station, Texas, on Thursday, December 6, less than a week after he died.

Family and friends of the 41st president attended a service at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas, before Bush’s body traveled to College Station by a train called the Union Pacific 4141. Union Pacific official Mike Iden told The New York Times that it was Bush’s idea for his body to travel from his Houston funeral to the College Station burial site.

One day earlier, political figures joined the Bush family to honor the late president at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, December 5.

Prince Charles, Barack and Michelle Obama, Donald and Melania Trump and Hillary and Bill Clinton were among the attendees at Wednesday’s funeral. George W. Bush gave an emotional eulogy during the service, calling the late politician “the best father a son or daughter could have.”

“He valued character over pedigree and he was not a cynic. He looked for the good in everybody, and usually he found it,” the 43rd president said. “He showed me what it means to be a president who serves with integrity, leads with courage and acts in love with his heart for the citizens of our country.”

Us Weekly confirmed on Friday, November 30, that George H.W. died at the age of 94.

“George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviator, Texas oil pioneer, and 41st president of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018,” a statement from the former president’s spokesman, Jim McGrath, read. “He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Barbara; his second child Pauline Robinson ‘Robin’ Bush; and his brothers Prescott and William or ‘Bucky’ Bush.”

Kim Kardashian Justifies Kanye's Slavery Comment with False Editing Claims on 'KUWTK'

Kim Kardashian is trying like hell to justify Kanye West‘s slavery comment — the problem is she’s fully misquoting her husband, and clearly does NOT remember what he actually said.

On the next episode of ‘KUWTK,’ she has a convo with Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck about Kanye’s May 1 appearance on “TMZ Live” … and the convo is rife with falsehoods. First, Huck says “the way they edited that clip.” It was not edited.

Then there’s Kim saying this, “If you listen to what he said, he said, ‘Slavery was 400 years? If it’s gonna be another 400 years, that sounds like a choice to me.’ He didn’t say, ‘Slavery is a choice.'”

Here’s the clip, so you can listen to what Kanye actually said. There is clearly NO reference to a future 400 years. The actual quote – ”When you hear about slavery for 400 years, for 400 years??? That sounds like a choice. Like, you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all?”

Kim can have whatever interpretation she wants of Kanye’s words. We get that. But, to say we edited him or misquoted him … is a lie.

On the ‘KUWTK’ episode she adds, “Kanye’s slavery comment … he never said that. That was just the headline.”

Okay.

Chris Noth: Reports About ‘Sex and the City 3’ Were All Lie

AceShowbiz
Chris Noth has insisted there will not be a third “Sex and the City” movie as the cast are not on speaking terms.

The actor, who played John ‘Mr. Big’ Preston – the love interest and eventual husband of Sarah Jessica Parker‘s character Carrie Bradshaw – in the hit TV series and two spin-off films, is adamant a third instalment will never happen.

Sarah and fellow stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, who played Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes, respectively, had signed on for a third film, but it was canned in September 2017 after Kim refused to return, sparking a feud between her and the “Hocus Pocus” star.

During chats with castmembers including Chris, James alleged Kim’s boycott of the film was due to Mr. Big’s death – as the plot focused on how Carrie copes with losing her husband and had little to offer her character.

The actor claimed not to have seen any script but did tell the podcast host that he had heard the story was “superior” to the first two movies – which were financially successful but infuriated critics.
