Watch the heartwarming moment Arsenal captain Mesut Ozil shows class in touching interaction with young blind fan

ARSENAL star Mesut Ozil has proven his class off the pitch as well as on it after making a young blind fan's dream come true.

The 30-year-old treated Gunners supporter Mikey to a night he will never forget at the Emirates on Thursday night as the North London side beat Napoli 2-0.

A strike from Aaron Ramsey and an own goal from Kalidou Koulibaly proved to be the difference as Arsenal take a crucial lead going into the Europa League quarter-final second leg next week.

Ozil starred against the Serie A side as he pulled the strings in the final third of the pitch, showing why he has become a key player under Unai Emery of late.

And after the match he was involved in a heartwarming meeting with a young supporter, who looked delighted as he touched the World Cup winner's face.

The former Real Madrid ace uploaded the clip to Twitter, captioning the post: "Happy to have had the chance to meet my special fan Mikey yesterday.

"He lost his eyesight due to a rare eye disease but this certainly does not stop him from playing football.

"I know you'll continue to follow your dreams, young man."

In what was a memorable night for Mikey, he and his family watched the match from Ozil's own box, while he was also gifted a signed shirt as well as meeting the rest of Arsenal squad.

Ozil – who has chipped in with five goals and three assists in 28 games this season – has been praised online, as one user tweeted: "You're an amazing man Mesut. A hero!"

While another commented: "What a guy. Beyond football you will always be remembered as an inspiration."

One said: "What a lovely gesture. Human kindness at its best. Pure class."

Another simply stated: "Top guy Ozil an example to the rest."
