Watch Mustafi’s comically bad defending that has raging Arsenal fans claiming slapstick defender is ‘out of his depth’ against Dubai minnows

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI was urged by furious Arsenal fans to leave the club after his comically bad defending was exposed in a friendly against Dubai side Al Nasr.

The defender fell flat on his bum while trying half-heartedly to block Ronnie Fernandez' shot in the 14th minute.

With his back to play and helpless on the turf, Mustafi, 26, could only watch as Fernandez' strike went past Bernd Leno to open the scoring.

And his actions led to an outpouring of anger over his inability to keep up with players in the UAE Arabian Gulf League.

One viewer raged: "It's been 15 minutes and we're 0-1 down to Al Nasr. Mustafi has been exposed six times already. Get this guy out of my club."

Another said: "Mustafi is being embarrassed. Making no case for himself at all."

'EMBARRASSED'

One comment read: "Leave Mustafi there. Throw his passport away."

A fellow user posted: "Even against some team from Dubai Mustafi is out of his depth."

Another wrote: "Mustafi must be sold this summer."

One viewer said: "Mustafi struggling in our friendly match in Dubai? I expect nothing less."

A particularly irate Arsenal fan fumed: "Mustafi is having a disaster against Al Nasr, bin that clown as soon as the season ends, even if it means terminating his contract.

"Worst centre back at Arsenal in my lifetime and we've had some absolute shocking ones along the way."

Another asked: "Can we leave Mustafi in the UAE?"

It wasn't all bad news for Arsenal though, who won 3-2 thanks to a 30-minute blitz.

Carl Jenkinson scored in the 42nd minute, Alexandre Lacazette netted nine minutes later and Tyreece John-Jules got another in the 72nd minute before Khaled Jalal scored a late penalty.
