Tottenham want Dani Ceballos to replace Real Madrid target Christian Eriksen

TOTTENHAM have reportedly identified Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.

Spanish newspaper AS claims Mauricio Pochettino will look to bring Real’s young playmaker to North London as doubts grow over Eriksen’s future.

The Dane, 27, is out of contract in 2020.

And Spurs will have to sell him this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer in a year’s time.

Real have been strongly linked with a £130million bid for Eriksen.

While SunSport understands Zinedine Zidane is even prepared to wait a year to land him for nothing.

But Spurs could take advantage of Real’s interest in Eriksen to land Ceballos.

The 22-year-old has apparently decided to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Ceballos made 34 appearances in all competitions this term, but feels he will not get a chance in the starting XI under Zidane.

It’s reckoned the former Real Betis ace is one of 17 Los Blancos players up for sale.

And Tottenham will now look to secure Ceballos’ signature as they prepare to embark on a spending spree.

There is also interest from West Ham, but Spurs’ Champions League status makes them clear favourites.
