Tom Brady takes immediate shot at Patriots’ doubters after win

Tom Brady didn’t wait long to fire back at the Patriots’ critics.

The five-time Super Bowl champion and New England had just finished carving up the Chargers, 41-28, in the AFC divisional round at Gillette Stadium on Sunday when he took a shot at those who said the Patriots were starting to slip.

“Everyone thinks we suck, and you know, can’t win any games. … So, we’ll see, it will be fun,” Brady told CBS’ Tracy Wolfson on the field when asked about facing Kansas City.

Brady and the Patriots, who went 11-5 in the regular season, looked far from done as they steamrolled the Chargers. He completed 34-of-44 passes for 343 yards and threw a touchdown to Phillip Dorsett. The Patriots scored touchdowns on five of their first six possessions. New England beat the Chiefs 43-40 during the regular season.
