Spurs vs Ajax predicted line-ups: Suspended Son and injured Kane force Pochettino to shuffle forward line

TOTTENHAM are without star forwards Son Heung-min and Harry Kane as they go into the biggest game in their history.

Mauricio Pochettino's side could line up with three at the back to accommodate for the loss of the two forwards with Lucas Moura leading the front line.

SunSport has looked at how Spurs could fare against Erik ten Hag's side, with the Premier League side stretched in their forward ranks.

Kane is not expected to be back until around the time of the Champions League final on June 1 — if Spurs get there, while Son will be available for the game in Amsterdam on May 8.

Luckily for the home side, there is familiarity at the back, with Alderweireld, Sanchez and Vertonghen deployed as a three in front of Hugo Lloris.

That will allow Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose to get forward on the right and left flank as wing-backs.

Then Sissoko and Dier would created a solid midfield base, before Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen play as the creative pair in attacking midfield.

Then in the absence of suspended Son, Brazilian Moura leads the line.

Ajax should line up with a familiar eleven, starting with Andre Onana in goal.

FOUR AT THE BACK?

Then a back four of Nicolas Tagliafico, Daley Blind, Matthijs De Ligt and Joel Veltman would sit in front of the Cameroonian.

In midfield, expect star man Frenkie De Jong and Lasse Schone to sit deep with Dusan Tadic, Hakim Ziyech and Donny van de Beek behind David Neres.

Ajax have strong subs as well, with the likes of veteran Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Kasper Dolberg firing in 26 goals between them this season.

Alternatively, Spurs could go with four at the back.

Expect this if they need to change formation and add more weight to midfield, with a familiar 4-2-3-1 an option.

Ben Davies has had plenty of game time this season as either a centre-back or full-back, as has Victor Wanyama in deep midfield.

Then that man Fernando Llorente remains a reliable and intriguing substitute… and what about the forgotten Dutchman: Vincent Janssen?
