Real Madrid will only sign Christian Eriksen if they can offload fringe players as Isco plots escape route – The Sun
REAL MADRID will only land Spurs wantaway Christian Eriksen if they can offload their fringe players, according to reports.
The La Liga side are keen admirers of the Danish international whose time at Tottenham is appearing to come to an end.
Eriksen's contract expires at the end of the season and unless Spurs sell him in January, he will leave for nothing next summer.
It is believed that the 27-year-old is holding out for a move to the Bernabeu despite a host of European clubs monitoring his situation.
But he may need to reconsider his options with the pursestrings tightened at Real Madrid.
According to AS, Zinedine Zidane will have his hands tied when it comes to signing players in the New Year unless they flog those struggling for game time.
Isco, Mariano Diaz and Brahim Diaz are just three players thought to be on the transfer list.
Real spent around £258million on transforming their squad in the summer including the big-money arrivals of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Eder Militao.
