Phil Jones has friction burn on his head after comedy faceplant in Man Utd's win over Reading
The 27-cap England defender, 26, proved he's the gift that keeps on giving during Manchester United's 2-0 FA Cup win over Reading.
After years of hilarious facial expressions, Jones took things to another level yesterday.
He went in for a challenge with Royals star Danny Loader only to stumble and whack his face directly on the grass.
Later in the day, the former Blackburn star posed for a celebratory picture with team-mates including debutant Tahith Chong and Chris Smalling.
However, Jones had a clearly visible patch of red smeared across his forehead, where the grass had got the better of him.
Naturally Twitter had yet another Jones-related field day, with one user writing: "It’s 2019 and Phil Jones is still playing for Manchester United and defending like this…"
Another added: "Phil Jones being, Phil Jones."
One hilariously quipped: "You can still see Phil Jones’ grass burns from today’s game."
A third wrote: "Phil Jones going full Phil Jones."
here's how the rest of Twitter reacted to Jones' latest Jones moment…
