Pacquiao gets £8m lion's share of Broner purse as fan gets crazy haircut

The WBA welterweight champion, 40, will pick up £8million for the first defence of his world title with the American in Las Vegas.

Broner, 29, on the other hand will take just £2m away from the fight.

Both boxers will receive extra profits from the pay-per-view takings – with Pacquiao aiming to tip the scales at £16m when all is said and done.

Both fighters successfully made weight with Pacquiao coming in at 146lb, one pound under the 147lb welterweight limit, and Broner 146.5lb.

Meanwhile, one fan has got into the pre-fight spirit with a truly bizarre haircut.

A barber in Pacquiao's native Philippines was able to "draw" Pacman and Broner into the back of his head ahead of tonight's fight.

Stylist Neshell Dacalos said: "I made this hair portrait in support of our very own pride of the Philippines Mr Manny 'PACMAN' Pacquiao."

Despite being 40-years-old now, Pacquiao recently revealed he is still hungry for the fight – and pre-bout training that comes with it.

Pacman revealed: “I’m getting very excited [for the fight], and I’m ready for Broner. Forty is just a number to me. My sparring partners are in their mid-20s.

“The fact that I worked so hard in training is an example for my passion for boxing. I am always looking for ways to improve.

"Now that I’m older I listen to my body. If I’m sore I will take an extra day to recover if I have to.

“Every day in training camp I have been strong, fresh and fast. I am not ready to retire; I am ready for my next fight.”
