NHL fans were so annoyed with NBC as a Maple Leafs fan’s head blocked Game 6 action

The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs played an absolutely frantic playoff game on Sunday, a game that the Bruins won 4-2 to force a Game 7 in Boston on Tuesday.

It was a one-goal game for most of the third period, with both teams making rushes and having chances to find the back of the net.

The Bruins finally scored an empty-netter in the final minutes to get the two-goal win.

But during that wild third period fans watching at home were so annoyed with NBC and a fan's head, which often got in the way of the main camera angle.

Would be great watching the @NHLBruins game if this @MapleLeafs fan's head wasn't in the way. @NBCSBostonpic.twitter.com/Dfq8eVZsq9

If @NBCSports is going to broadcast a hockey game, maybe they should first make sure that a fan’s head isn’t blocking their camera? #bruins#MapleLeafs

The back of the head of the Maple Leafs fan may be the most hated head in sports right now #NHLHockey

I hope the standing Maple Leafs fan’s tl is filled with images of the back of his head

@NHL@NHLonNBCSports What's up with this broadcast feed and angle. Got a fans head in the way during the entire 3rd period. Might want to adjust that for viewers in the future. #Bruins#mapleleafs#nhlbruins#NHLPlayoffspic.twitter.com/nCdG74Q57j

@NBCNews@nbc please ask the @MapleLeafs fan to sit down so I am not watching the back of his head for the last 5 minutes of the game.

@NHLonNBCSports Can you please ask that @MapleLeafs fan to sit down so we don’t have to keep seeing the back of his head? #BOSvsTOR#StanleyCup

Seeing the backs of fans' heads used to be a much more common occurrence back in the days when the NHL's old stadiums built before television existed were still in use. But exciting game aside, it was a little strange to see this problem Sunday at Scotiabank Arena, which opened in 1999.
