Monday's horse racing NAP: Your best bet for today's racing from Callum Jamieson

IT'S Monday. It's Windsor. Lovely jubbly.

Last weeks opening fixture at the royal track threw up some whacky results.

I'm hoping the well-named FIELDS OF ATHENRY (Windsor, 3.30) can put a smile back on punters faces.

This is a really intriguing heat for the grade and has attracted some big yards.

But James Tate's three-year-old should have plenty more to offer this season, now upped in trip and on turf for the first time.

He really caught the eye when green at Lingfield last time and with the benefit of that run and the step up to ten furlongs I can see him being miles better than an 84-rated colt.

Ryan Moore is a positive booking to say the least – although he'll trim a couple of points off the price.

Tate has his team in ridiculous form at this early stage of the turf season.

The Newmarket man has had six winners from ten runners in April. He looks set for a big campaign.
