Man Utd to sign Daniel James for £15m as first summer transfer after Swansea ace agrees personal terms

MANCHESTER UNITED are on the brink of signing Swansea winger Daniel James with the "personal terms agreed".

Sky Sports report a deal of £15million is set to be completed with the player wishing to join Old Trafford and become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing of the season.

The Welshman, 21, almost joined Leeds in the winter window but a stunning mobile malfunction caused the deal to collapse.

James had completed a medical at Elland Road ahead of an £8.5m deal on transfer deadline day before the deal was dramatically cancelled after the phones went dead.

The winger has one year left on his Liberty Stadium deal and the Welsh side are looking to cash out on the ace before losing him on a free next season.

Graham Potter's side even left him out of their final-day draw at Blackburn in order to avoid him sustaining any injury ahead of his expected summer move.

Solskjaer is beginning a revamp at Old Trafford and has James targeted as a solution on the right side of midfield.

Swansea’s No20 has played 38 games this season netting five times and grabbing 10 assists.

United legend Ryan Giggs, now in charge of Wales, has handed the 21-year-old two international starts with the Old Trafford bound winger scoring on his competitive home debut against Slovakia.

Solskjaer is also in the window for Benfica wonderkid Joao Felix who at 19 has a release clause of £105m.
