Man Utd make clean break after Wolves upset by sending club-branded road sweeper to tidy Old Trafford

MANCHESTER UNITED are desperate to clean up their act after the shock FA Cup defeat to Wolves.

The Reds have sent out a club-branded road sweeper to tidy up Old Trafford before they return to action against Watford.

United crashed out of the FA Cup after the 2-1 loss, but the club are keen to put this weekend's woes behind them.

And they have started by sending in the cleaners to erase any memories of Saturday's fixture from their ground.

A bright red road sweeper – complete with a United badge on the side – was seen cruising through the streets of Manchester this morning.

The club will be hoping to start with a clean state when they return to face Watford on March 30.

But for Solskjaer, it might take more than a clean pavement for him to forget the disastrous defeat to Wolves.

The Norwegian boss claimed United's performance was the worst he had seen since he took over in December.

He said: "It was a big step backwards. That's the poorest performance since I've come here.

"The lack of urgency going forward, lack of forward passing, lack of regains."

SunSport exclusively revealed that Solskjaer accused his players of going back to the Jose Mourinho days.

United, who are now fifth in the table, have now lost two games on the bounce after the 2-0 league defeat to Arsenal.
