Man Utd fans relieved they at least have Love Island to look forward to… while top six rivals prepare for finals

MANCHESTER UNITED fans are lamenting a lost season that has seen all five of their major rivals enjoy big success.

Manchester City need a win on Sunday to win the Premier League title, Tottenham and Liverpool will play in the Champions League final and Arsenal will face Chelsea in the Europa League final.

It's the first time ever that four clubs from one nation have made up two European finals.

And United are stuck on the outside looking in.

The club held their awards bash on Thursday night in a nightmare week that saw the other members of the Big Six all enjoy massive results.

Rivals fans were quick to mock United – as were their own fans.

But luckily for supporters they have one thing to look forward to in the coming weeks… the start of hit reality TV show Love Island.

Paddy Power joked that at least supporters of the club could look forward to the summer as "Love Island starts in four weeks."

LaFahim added: "Looooool only thing Utd fans can look forward to."

Luke Shaw picked up the Fans and Players' Player of the Year award at the United end-of-season bash on Thursday night.

Rivals fans mocked that selection as the left-back was part of a defence that conceded 52 Premier League goals.

That was a worse record than Crystal Palace and only four fewer than 17th-place Brighton – Man City and Liverpool conceded just 22 goals apiece.
