Leeds star Pontus Jansson leads Malmo fans ahead of Chelsea clash at Stamford Bridge

The Swedish defender, 28, led the songs in London as he pumped up the Malmo faithful prior to the Europa League tie.

And the Swedes needed the boost too, going into the second-leg 2-1 down at aggregate following their home defeat.

Jansson started off his career at Malmo, joining their youth ranks in 2006, before breaking into the first team three years later.

The Swede only left the club in 2014 to join Serie A side Torini – before Leeds came knocking in 2016, initially on loan.

Jansson is not shy in his Malmo fandom either, even having in his Twitter bio the words "Leeds United & Malmo FF".

And he was certainly no shrinking violet in West London tonight either as he roared his way through the Malmo songbook.

But it was no long-weekend in the capital for Jansson, who trained with Leeds in the morning, before making the two-and-a-half hour train journey south.

It's fair to say fans have been full of love for Jansson on Twitter too after his passionate show of support.

One social media user wrote: "What a legend pontus jansson is."

Another said: "Imagine if we get promoted. Jansson marching 40,000 Leeds fans through town singing Pontus Jansson’s magic".

A third wrote: "There's no other player like jansson".
