The 31-year-old American bruiser retained his WBO Welterweight title after the shock TKO victory.

But it came following a fight of highs and lows for Khan, who was sent to the canvas in the very first round.

He was hunted down by the P4P superstar and short left hook put him to the ground.

Khan managed to get up but he never recovered as he was dismantled by a future legend of boxing.

The Olympic hero was hit between the legs with a short shot and he could not carry on.

Hunter showed mercy by pulling his man out, but the result was already a forgone conclusion anyway.

Khan has been urged to retire by many of his loyal fans following a battle-hardened career.

This was the fifth lose, and he has taken some brutal punishment over the years.

He was smashed by Canelo Alvarez and destroyed by Danny Garcia along with dozens of trials and tribulations throughout a stellar life in the ring.

The scorecards were also grim viewing by the time the fight ended, with all three having him heavily down.
