Joe Willock brace and Alex Iwobi strike sink Seasiders after bus protest against owner

After a sitdown protest by a Blackpool fan on the Gunners team bus, Unai Emery’s team cruised to victory.

A pair of first-half goals by Joe Willock, which made him Arsenal’s youngest FA Cup goalscorer since Aaron Ramsey, put the visitors in control.

Alex Iwobi added a third in the last 10 minutes to seal the victory.

Eddie Nketiah had already fluffed two great chances before Willock opened the scoring.

Ramsey’s free kick from just outside the box was deflected on to the post and Willock reacted quickest, stooping to head the ball home.

Blackpool were committed but limited, their only clear chance coming when big striker Armand Gnanduillet bustled his way into the box and his shot was saved by Petr Cech.

Willock made it two for him and Arsenal when Nketiah helped on a Carl Jenkinson cross to the back post.

Nketiah should have made it three before the break, but allowed home goalkeelper Mark Howard to make a good save with the goal at his mercy.

Blackpool had more of the game after the break and right back Michael Nottingham wasted a decent opportunity, shooting high over Cech’s goal.

The Arsenal goalkeeper then slipped and almost let in Gnanduillet, but although the home side enjoyed some possession, they could not fashion a clear-cut chance.

Willock had a hat-trick goal rule out for offside before Iwobi completed the scoring,  following up after Ramsey's shot had been saved by Blackpool substitute goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi.
