Henry has been talking with Fabregas ‘every two days’ as Chelsea ace nears Monaco switch

The 31-year-old said goodbye to English football on Saturday after 501 appearances in Chelsea’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Fabregas is expected to complete a move to the Ligue 1 strugglers within days as Henry’s side battle to beat the drop.

And the Monaco coach said he has been talking to the Spanish midfielder on a regular basis.

Speaking before Wednesday’s vital home game against Rennes, Henry said: “Since I left Arsenal we speak every 2 or 3 days.

“It has not changed in the last days, it’s player that interests all clubs.”

Fabregas is set to link up with his ex-Arsenal team-mate for the second time in his career.

The two played alongside each in North London between 2003 and 2007.

Both quit Arsenal to join Barcelona, however, Henry left the Nou Camp in 2010 to join New York Red Bulls a year before Fabregas arrived in Catalonia.

Monaco finished second last season and appointed Henry after the sacking of Leonardo Jardim in October.
They are four points from safety after winning just three league games all season.
