Furious Heung-Min Son sent off for shoving over Jefferson Lerma in Bournemouth vs Tottenham

HEUNG-MIN SON was sent off during Tottenham's away game at Bournemouth and will miss the final game of the season at home to Everton.

The South Korean will receive a three-game ban after shoving Cherries midfielder Jefferson Lerma to the floor.

It means he will also miss Tottenham's opening two Premier League games of next season.

Play was getting scrappy towards the end of the first half, with Son battling to regain possession of the ball.

He reacted to Bournemouth players fighting for the ball by shoving Colombian Lerma to the floor.

Referee Craig Pawson immediately brandished the red card to a furious Son who felt he should have had a free-kick.

He wasn't helped by Lerma however, who appeared to make the most of what was a push to the floor.

But Sky Sports' pundits for the game were adamant it was the right decision to send off the 26-year-old.

Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp said: "[It was a] definite red card, I feel sorry for Son.

"[He] lost his head completely, he’s not going to hurt anybody but it’s frustration coming out.
