Conor McGregor delivered ‘cheapest shot’ during charity boxing match, opponent says

Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor made a (kinda, sorta) return to fighting last weekend when he took part in an exhibition boxing match at his former gym, Crumlin Boxing Club in Dublin, to help raise money during the annual "Good Friday Boxing Show."

McGregor's appearance was a surprise that caught us all off guard. Speaking of being caught off guard, how about McGregor's opponent, amateur boxer Michael McGrane? According to him, McGregor caught him with "the cheapest shot" he's ever caught in his life.

At least, that's what he told TMZ.

"We touch gloves at the start of the fight, and you're meant to go back to your corner, but Conor never went back to his corner," McGrane said. "Conor leaped at me with a left hook, the clinical left hooks, and he caught me flush in the eye with his clinical left hook. …

"Yeah, it was a cheap shot. It was the cheapest shot I've ever caught in my life. Conor McGregor hit me with a cheap shot in his own hometown."
