Billy Joe Saunders left heartbroken as boy, four, he becomes pals with dies after brave battle with cancer

Denver Clinton, 4, had been fighting a rare form of cancer for less than a year.


And the British fighter, 29, had taken young Denver under his wing, delivering him Christmas presents and inviting him into the ring.

Saunders, 29, also acted as a chauffeur for the kid, while he was pictured in the middleweight's Ranger Rover with his thumbs up.

The youngster, from Norfolk, was fighting Neuroblastoma and Saunders was determined to give the little lad the time of his life in his last few months.

His mum, Wanda Le Anne Clinton said on Facebook: "I have some very sad news.

 


"My little superhero has decided he can't be strong anymore and has taken his last breath at 4am this morning.

"His name and strength will [live] on in me and my children.

"He is and always will be our superhero.

"LOVE you my son now and always."

Boxing coach Asgar Tair tweeted: "Rest in peace little man.

"From God we come, surely to God we WILL return. Ameen!"
