Aubameyang compares Ozil to USA star Rapinoe as Arsenal ace reveals he bleached hair after losing bet to Lacazette – The Sun

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG has mocked Mesut Ozil's blonde hair as he compared him to USA star Megan Rapinoe.

And the German has revealed he made a drastic change to his look because of a lost crossbar challenge bet to Alexandre Lacazette.

Ozil, 30, came off the bench in the 3-0 victory over Colorado Rapids with his usual brown mop on Monday night.

But only hours later he dazzled his team-mates with a shiny, blonde fringe at a pre-season training camp in Los Angeles.

And, as it turns out, it wasn't just a brave fashion choice.

Ozil has admitted Arsenal star Lacazette, 28, was behind his transformation – and that he wasn't the Frenchman's only victim.

The German told Sports Direct Football: "I lost a bet. Or we lost a bet against Laca.

"Crossbar challenge yeah. Me, Sead [Kolasinac] and Shkodran Mustafi so we lost all together."

Aubameyang has laughed at Ozil's "best ever haircut" on Instagram, comparing it to that of Women's World Cup winner Rapinoe.

While Arsenal fans have suggested the £350,000-a-week midfielder wanted to emulate Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, 26.

Gunners legend Marc Overmars – now the Amsterdam side's transfer guru – had said before the Emirates side should sell Ozil and replace him with the Moroccan star.

He told Voetbal International: "I think Hakim Ziyech is better than Mesut Ozil.

"I would say sell him [Ozil] and you will get Hakim for half.

"But they [Arsenal] didn't listen to me. So it could just be that he stays with Ajax."
