Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool still interested in rebel Adrien Rabiot after Real Madrid pulled out

ARSENAL, Manchester United and Liverpool are still ready to battle it out for Paris Saint-Germain rebel Adrien Rabiot, according to reports.

It is understood Real Madrid have pulled the plug on a potential move for the midfielder this summer, leaving the Premier League sides to fight for his signature.

According to AS, Zinedine Zidane was put off by Rabiot's wage demands and would rather go for fellow countryman Paul Pogba.

Barcelona were also thought to be interested in January but instead landed Ajax youngster Frenkie de Jong.

Rabiot has not played a professional match since PSG's 4-1 win over Red Star Belgrade on December 11 as he refuses to put pen to paper on a new deal.

But that has not kept him out of the headlines.

The Frenchman, 24, who came through the club's academy, is out of contract this summer and will therefore be a free agent.

But after falling out with PSG boss Thomas Tuchel, he has done himself no favours in trying to earn his place back in the team.

RAB RAP

He was filmed partying at a nightclub just hours after the Champions League exit to Manchester United before his mother and agent labelled him a "prisoner" and a "hostage" at the club.

Veronique Rabiot told L'Equipe: "Adrien is a prisoner. He is even a hostage at PSG.

"He has been taken hostage because he does not want to sign again, when all he is doing is respecting his contract.

"Adrien is only asking for that: to respect his contract."

And Rabiot has since been slapped with a suspension by his club and banned from entering the training ground for six days after 'liking' an Instagram post from Patrice Evra.

But it seems Arsenal, Liverpool and United are still keen to take on the midfielder, who clearly has plenty of ability on the pitch.

The Gunners will be losing Aaron Ramsey this summer so need to bolster their options in the middle, while Liverpool were given a good look at him this season when he featured in both of their Champions League clashes.

But with Ander Herrera set to join the French champions this summer, there could be a free swap deal on the cards with Rabiot heading to Old Trafford.
