Arsenal and Man Utd tell Crystal Palace to lower Zaha asking price to £75m

CRYSTAL PALACE will have to lower their asking price to £75m for Wilfried Zaha to get his dream move to Arsenal – or return to Manchester United.

The Ivory Coast winger told last week how he wanted to play in the Champions League in the future.

Both the Gunners and United have long-term interest in the 26-year-old, who has had another stunning season.

But, according to the Daily Star, Palace will have to lower the fee they are demanding.

He is seen as overpriced at the £80m the Eagles want, and the Premier League’s big guns want that slashed.

Zaha still has four years left on his contract at Selhurst Park and has nine goals and eight assists this season.

Palace defender Scott Dann said: “Every player wants to play at the highest level. He has not said anything untoward.

“He is striving to be the best he can be and if that means he has to move on at some stage then that is the way it goes.

“When you have got that type of quality, there is no doubt there are teams who are going to be looking at him

“But we know, because of the way he trains and the way, that it will not change his performance as long as he is here.

“He will keep performing like he did against Arsenal on Saturday. When he is like that, he is unplayable.

“There are not many out there who can do what he can do. He has got the qualities to play at the very top. Of course, we would not want to lose him.

“But if something happens in the summer and he goes then I am sure it will be in the right way. And he is not going to go on the cheap, that is for sure.”
