AC Milan reject Manchester Utd, Chelsea and Juventus bids for captain Alessio Romagnoli

Corriere dello Sport claims the centre-back, 24, is a wanted man after becoming one of the top defenders in Serie A.

Man United and Chelsea are long-term suitors, while Juventus have joined the race with the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini all in their twilight years.

However, Romagnoli will not be cheap and is said to be valued by Milan at a whopping £60million.

Chelsea sent scouts to watch him in action last October, with Maurizio Sarri a big fan.

While United were said to have had a £44m bid rejected last summer.

It now remains to be seen if Milan can keep hold of the San Siro favourite.

But Romagnoli recently revealed he wants to stay put and play for the Rossoneri in next season’s Champions League.

The former Roma man told La Repubblica: “I like the city, the only thing I miss is the sea in Nettuno (near Rome). I’m happy with my teammates, Gattuso and the supporters.

“I was happy to have offers from the Premier League but I feel at home here. I want to play in the Champions League with Milan as soon as possible.”
