VAR wrecked Tottenham's hopes of finally winning away from home in their 2-1 defeat at Leicester.

  • TOTTENHAM are monitoring Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry.

TeamTalk claim the 22-year-old has also caught the eye of Everton, Manchester City and Wolves.

The report suggests Boro will be forced to sell the England Under-21 international if they receive an offer in excess of £20m.

  • JAMES MADDISON caused a stir on social media prior to Leicester's clash against Tottenham yesterday when arrived wearing a backpack worth over £6,500.

But the Foxes ace had the last laugh with a razor sharp comeback to the online trolls after scoring the winner against Spurs.

Maddison, 22, who has recently been linked with a switch to join Manchester United, proudly wore the Louis Vuitton Virgil Christopher Prism bag as he strutted into the dressing room.

One fan joked: “£6500?!?!?! Real talk you can get an 8 year old in arts and crafts after school club to make this for a tenner.”

Another added: “Looks like something my girls would carry around with their dolls in. More money than sense.”

  • KIERAN TRIPPIER has continued to win over Atletico Madrid's supporters after he gave his shirt to a fan that had given him a bottle of water to drink during the draw against Celta Vigo.

The right-back, 29, has become an instant hit in Spain following his cut-price move from Tottenham this summer.

The former Burnley man was readying himself to deliver a corner when the match was temporarily halted because of a head injury to Joseph Aidoo.

A fan then chucks a bottle of water at a grateful Trippier, who takes a hearty swig from it, and then delights the crowd by launching the bottle back into the stands.

People on Twitter were equally in love with the interaction, with one revealing that Trippier had gone back to the fan after the full-time whistle to say thank you and give him his shirt.
