Sainsbury’s slashes price of fuel by up to 3p in huge petrol and diesel offer

Earlier this week, Tesco announced a fuel offer where shoppers can save 10p per litre on petrol or diesel.

Customers would receive the deal if they spend £60 or more on in-store purchases, grocery deliveries and collections between today and October 27.

Now supermarket giant Sainsbury's is also tempting shoppers by slashing prices of fuel in a huge petrol and diesel offer.

The retailer is cutting the price of diesel by up to 3p per litre and unleaded petrol by up to 2p per litre across its 314 forecourts from Saturday.

Sainsbury's is hoping to provide great value for millions of motorists across the UK by announcing the offer.

As usual, customers will also be able to pick up Nectar points every time they fill up – one point on every litre purchased.

Once Nectar cardholders have enough points, they can use it to save money on huge purchases.

David Pegg, Fuel Buying Manager for Sainsbury's, said: "As we gear up for the upcoming festive period, we are committed to helping our customers live well for less, whether they're stocking up on groceries or refuelling their cars.

"That's why we're dropping the price of diesel by up to 3p per litre and unleaded petrol by up to 2p per litre across every single one of our forecourts from Saturday.

"Whether in store or at the pumps, customers know they will get fantastic value with Sainsbury's."

In other Sainsbury's news, the supermarket unveiled a mega half price toy sale earlier this week.

The supermarket launched the offer with up to 50% off popular brands like PAW Patrol, Barbie, LEGO and VTech.
