Crown Princess Mette-Marit cut a chic figure in a floral frock as she attended an awards ceremony in Oslo on Wednesday.
The royal, 45, put on an vibrant display in the patterned dress as she joined husband Crown Prince Haakon, also 45, on stage to hand out awards at the event.
The royals recognised the work done by volunteers as part of the UN International Day of Voluntary Efforts.

The couple were present to highlight done by the Norwegian society, which aims to integrate members of society into local communities through volunteer work, as well as help those in need.
Mette-Marit, who last month announced that she is suffering from the life-limiting condition chronic lung condition pulmonary fibrosis, looked stylish in a floral frock that was cinched in at the waist, and adorned with red and pink flowers.

Syrian refugee Mohamad came to Norway after fleeing the civil almost four years ago, and arrived at Rjukan.
After getting in touch with the scout group while at school in 2017, Mohamad has now worked his way up to scout leader in the Rjukan scout group.

Speaking about his work, he said: ‘I like to help, I love people, and I hope people can be happy with me. I always say yes when someone asks for help.
‘It has made me familiar with so many new people. I have something to do every day all week and I have a lot of people to say hello to when I take a trip out.’
The appearance trip comes just a month after Mette-Marit confirmed she is suffering from the life-limiting lung condition chronic pulmonary fibrosis, an illness she has been aware of for some time.
She is thought to be in the early stages of the disease in which scar tissue forms in the lungs. The disease can cause serious breathing problems and there is no known cure.

The mother-of-three released her own statement following the diagnosis where she spoke of her determination to carry on as normal.
She said: ‘Although such a diagnosis in times will limit my life, I’m glad that the disease has been discovered so early.
‘My goal is still to work and participate in the official programme as much as possible.’
Mette-Marit is a particularly rare case as the disease normally occurs in people of the age 70-75 and is very rare for anyone under 50 to suffer from it.
