It all turned around for Adele when Robbie started at the gym in the middle of October 2017.

‘I’ve always had the worst eating habits,’ explained the super slimmer. ‘I would go out every weekend at university, so that just made my diet even worse. I used to have no idea about nutrition.’

Adele’s diet transformation

Before

Breakfast – Toast with either tea or coffee

Lunch – Baked potato with lashing of butter

Dinner – Mince and potatoes or lasagne

Snacks – Crisps and chocolate

After

Meal 1 – Four scrambled eggs with mushrooms, peppers and spinach

Meal 2 – Chicken breast with broccoli and almonds

Meal 3 – Chicken with boiled potatoes

Meal 4 – Mince, broccoli and sweet potato

Meal 5 – Four rice cakes, peanut butter

Meal 6 – Chicken, broccoli, almonds

Speaking of her diet before her transformation, Adele explained: ‘I would eat three times a day with a lot of foods that I thought were good for me, but were still very high in sugar.’

‘It made me feel rubbish about myself – I felt heavy all the time. All my friends are really skinny and I felt like I was always the fat friend.’

Adele first started working out in 2016, but after six months she noticed she hadn’t lost as much weight as she’d hoped.

But it was with a helping hand from Robbie, who is based at Motherwell’s Pure Gym, that Adele achieved her dream body – and met her now fiancé.

‘He was tanned, with brown hair and muscles – totally my type,’ said Adele, describing the moment she first set eyes on him. ‘Over the next two weeks I saw him in the gym and I then decided to message him on his fitness page, and he said he would personally train me.’

When Adele first started training, she weighed 10st 13lbs and her body fat was 29 per cent.

‘After only five months of training with correcting my nutrition I lost ten per cent body fat,’ she explained. ‘I gained muscle tissue and stayed roughly the same weight which I couldn’t believe.’

But her body transformation wasn’t the only change in her life – she had started falling for her personal trainer, too.

‘I would run him home from work at the beginning, as he doesn’t drive. One night about a week later we ended up kissing,’ she explained.

‘We went on our first date the weekend after. It was pretty surreal, none of us planned on a relationship but it just felt right.’

Soon after, Adele and Robbie began spending a lot of time together in and out of the gym and three weeks later they were in a relationship.

‘Robbie made me feel extremely special and went out his way to do everything to make me happy so I knew he was the one,’ said Adele.

‘I was in a relationship for seven years before Robbie and he was in a relationship for nine years, and the bond between us is unbreakable. I have never had that with anyone before even in a long-term relationship.’

Discussing how their relationship took off, Adele recalled: ‘I would run him home from work at the beginning as he doesn’t drive and one night about a week later we ended up kissing.’ They became official three weeks after their first date

Robbie (above) popped the question to Adele on 20th April last year while they were on a private boat in Turkey. ‘Proposing to her was nerve-wracking but I just knew I wanted to marry her,’ he said

Romantic Robbie proposed to Adele on April 20 last year in Turkey on a private boat – four days into their first holiday together.

‘He had it all planned,’ explained the mental health nurse. ‘My family already knew, he had asked for my dad’s permission before going away. My best friend and Mum helped him pick the perfect ring.’

She added: ‘I was shocked and surprised when he proposed, I never expected it. But he couldn’t have made the moment anymore special. I wouldn’t have thought twice about saying yes.’

Describing the moment he popped the question, Robbie said: ‘Proposing to her was nerve-wracking but I just knew I wanted to marry her. We are great together and I’ve never felt like that before.’

Now, Adele praises her fiancé for not only helping her slim down but for making her feel amazing.

‘I prep all my food now and I try and have at least one cheat day every week,’ she said. ‘I feel amazing and Robbie has been great.’

To show off her new figure Adele will be taking part in a bikini bodybuilding competition in Stafford, West Midlands, on March 31.
