Mrs Crunch shares her favourite recipes for the perfect Christmas cocktails

Making cocktails can sound daunting but the classics don’t need loads of ingredients.

Here are four simple recipes to help your party go with a bang – including a tasty mocktail. Happy Christmas!

Margarita

Cost: £21 (£3.50 per person).

Preparation: 10 minutes.

 

YOU NEED:

750ml water

375ml fresh lime juice

375ml Cointreau

375ml silver tequila

1 lime, cut into 8 wedges

Coarse salt

 

METHOD: Combine the water, lime juice, tequila and Cointreau in a large pitcher. Stir to mix.

To serve, rub the rim of a margarita glass with lime and dip in salt. Fill the glass with ice and top with the tequila mixture.

Garnish with a slice of lime.


  • TIP: Chill the glasses in the fridge before serving.

Bucks Fizz

Cost: £2.86 – £1.43 per person.

Preparation: 2 minutes.

 

YOU NEED:

150ml champagne, chilled

50ml orange juice

 

METHOD: Mix three parts of your favourite champagne to one part of your favourite orange juice. Enjoy!


  • TIP: If you prefer you can use cava or Prosecco.

Cranberry and Raspberry Fizz

Cost: £1.40 – 35p per person.

Preparation: 3 minutes.

 

YOU NEED:

400ml cranberry and raspberry juice

400 ml fizzy lemonade

1 lime cut into wedges

4 fresh raspberries

 

METHOD: Mix the juice and lemonade together and pour into glasses with the lime wedges, raspberries and ice cubes.


  • TIP: You can freeze raspberries and pop them into this drink before ­serving.
