Meghan Markle's Dad Speaks Out About Those Royal Feud Rumors

For reasons that are best summed up as “WHYYYYYYYY” and “UGHHHH,” Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas Markle is once again speaking to the press about his relationship (or lack thereof) with the Duchess.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Thomas inexplicably shared private letters Meghan had sent him over the years, and complained that he’s been “frozen out” by the palace after “dozens of attempts to reach my daughter.” And while the majority of his interview was pretty negative and full of the whiny complaints of a very immature person, he low-key came to Meghan’s defense when asked about rumors of her alleged “feud” with Kate Middleton.

“I don’t recognize this person,” he said regarding reports of the feud. “The Meghan I know was always sweet, kind, generous. She was always demanding but never rude.”

Thomas also explained that Meghan grew up visiting him at work on TV sets, and was always extremely respectful of the people around her. “I taught her to have respect for the crew. They can make you look good or awful,” he said, also feeling the need to saltily add: “I don’t pretend to know what she’s like now.”

Hmm, so what’s Meghan “like now?” Well, she appears to spend her time working to make women’s lives better, attending meetings about causes that’ll positively impact other people, and wearing matching outfits with her sister-in-law in a show of solidarity.

That, Thomas Markle, is what she’s like now.
