Meghan changes usual birthday note to George after fans’ anger at Charlotte post

Prince George turns six today and we're sure the royal tot is having lots of fun celebrating with his family.

He's believed to be spending the day with his mum and dad the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and his siblings Charlotte and Louis at their country estate Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

We don't know if other members of the family are joining them for the celebrations, but his auntie Meghan Markle and uncle Prince Harry sent him a very sweet birthday message on social media.

It comes after the couple got a lot of stick from some annoyed royal fans for the comment they wrote to mark Princess Charlotte's birthday .

Meghan and Meghan commented on one of the three photos Kate and William posted on their official Kensington Palace Instagram page, writing: "Happy Birthday! Wishing you a very special day and lots of love" with a balloon and cake emoji.

How sweet!

It's not unusual for the couple to post cute comments on photos of their nephews and nieces, but this time they haven't used his name – which is what caused a bit of a row last time.

Back in May when Charlotte turned four they were among the thousands of people who commented on the sweet snaps shared to mark her birthday.

They wrote: "Happy birthday Charlotte! lots of love, H and M xo" with balloon and birthday cake emojis.

They also used Louis's name in his birthday message in April.

While most people loved the message, others were annoyed they didn't use the word 'princess'.

One wrote: "Even on Kensington Royal (her parents insta) she is referred to as Princess Charlotte. Meghan is just being disrespectful like she was to Prince Louis."

Another commented: "Even if they are related through Harry, she needs to call her Princess if other Royals call her that. This isn't because they're related, it's respect."

One woman wrote: "So why they call her princess? Because it's a sign of respect!! Even Queen's account calls her princess."

Another simply added: "That's Princess Charlotte to you."
