Kylie Jenner Says She Didn't Know Those Jordy Lip Kits Went on Sale Post-Cheating Scandal
Kylie Jenner’s friendship with Jordyn Woods may be on the rocks after Woods’ alleged hookup with Tristan Thompson, but that doesn’t mean Jenner purposely cut the prices of the Kylie Cosmetics products Woods inspired.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that shortly after news broke of the alleged affair, the price of the Jordy lip kit was cut in half — but Jenner says she was entirely unaware of the discount.
“That is just not my character. I would never do something like that and when I saw it, I was like, thrown back,” she told the New York Times in a new piece featuring interviews with the KarJenners. “Jordyn knows I didn’t actually put it on sale.”
The makeup mogul, 21, added that the price slash (from $27 to $13.50) had been put into play weeks earlier as the company switched from white to black packaging, and that she immediately reached out to an employee when she realized what happened.
As of Saturday, the price of the sold-out Jordy lip kit had been restored to $27, while the special Kylie x Jordyn best friend line, which the pair launched in September, was selling both an eyeshadow palette and a highlighter quad palette at full price.
A source recently told PEOPLE that Jenner has had limited contact with her former best friend in the wake of Woods-Thompson cheating scandal.
“Kylie has had a rough few weeks,” the source said. “She is still upset about the Jordyn situation, although she seems to be doing much better.”
And while Jenner isn’t cutting Woods out of her life entirely, she’s also working to strengthen other friendships.
“She has been socializing more and trying to find a bigger circle of friends that she can be close with,” the source explained. “After the Jordyn drama, she realized that relying on just one friend is not the best idea.”
Earlier in March, a source told PEOPLE that the Kardashians are allowing the makeup mogul to work out her friendship with Woods on her own.

“It’s still a tricky situation for Kylie. And no one is actually putting too much pressure on her,” the insider said. “Her family is aware that she is in contact with Jordyn. They are letting Kylie figure things out for herself.”
Woods — who lived in Jenner’s house and frequently traveled with her — appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk on March 1 to share her side of the story.
She claimed that Thompson, 28, kissed her as she left a house party, but that the smooch was hardly romantic.
“No passion, no nothing, on the way out,” she said. “He just kissed me. Like a kiss on the lips, no tongue kiss, no making out, nothing.”
She also denied sleeping with the NBA player and shot down claims that she was the reason he was no longer with Jenner’s sister Khloé Kardashian, 34, with whom Thompson shares daughter True, 11 months.
“I’m no home wrecker,” Woods said. “I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love. And someone that I’ve seen — has a beautiful daughter. I never was trying to steal someone’s man.”

Woods was recently featured in the new trailer for season 16 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, with Kris Jenner saying, “Here’s to Jordyn and Kylie,” as she raises a glass to cheers the now-estranged BFFs.
Khloé Kardashian, meanwhile, got emotional in the trailer, and can be seen cryptically yelling into a phone, “My family was ruined!”
