First picture of pervert who broke into funeral home and had sex with corpse

A sick pervert who had sex with a corpse after breaking into a funeral home has been told he faces a "substantial" jail term.

Kasim Shazada Khurum, 23, broke into an undertakers before violating a dead body in a coffin on November 11.

He opened several coffins before choosing his victim – and even a blaring burglar alarm wasn’t enough to put him off.

Today he pleaded guilty to charges of penetration of a corpse and burglary at Birmingham Crown Court.

Khurum, wearing a black fleece and trousers and sporting a Palestinian flag neck tattoo, denied a third charge of trespass, which was dropped by the prosecution.

Jobless Khurum, who lives at a hostel in Aston, Birmingham, and has previously been sectioned, will be sentenced on January 31.

Judge Francis Laird QC said: "I will adjourn your sentence to the date that has been raised in court.

"I will allow your solicitors the appropriate time to present to the court any medical report which your solicitors think will assist the court in determining the appropriate sentence for you.

"But you must be under no illusions that you will receive a sentence of imprisonment for your offending in this case – and a substantial sentence of imprisonment.

"You are remanded in custody."

The shocking incident took place at a the Central England Co-operative Funeralcare on Walsall Road, in Great Barr, Birmingham.

It is understood the relatives of the deceased have been informed of the desecration.
