Does Kanye West Sing to His Kids at Bedtime?

If you were a worldwide recognized performer, would you give your kids a private show every night before they drifted off the dreamland? Sure, a little dance might be a lot of work at 9 PM, but singing one of your top tracks wouldn’t be all that hard.

With Kanye West spreading his influence, going from releasing record-breaking albums to starting up a super exclusive weekend service, fans are beginning to wonder if he manages to carve out family time for his kiddos at the end of the day as well.

Kanye West inspires all with his Sunday service

Have you heard about West’s Sunday Service yet? It’s a fantastic VIP experience put on by Kanye that has been going strong since the beginning of the year. The event features a mixture of live music, typically provided by a gospel choir, and prayer. Sure, you may hear a standard hymn every now and again, but the choir also pulls inspiration from some of Kanye’s most beloved religious tracks like “Jesus Walks” and “Lift Off”.

Kanye West also brings on musical guests to add flair to the weekly performance. Some recent guests have included DMX, Courtney Love, Tyler the Creator, Katy Perry, and Orlando Bloom.

If that’s not enough to make you want to check out West’s Sunday Service, perhaps getting the even rarer opportunity to rub shoulders with the West-Kardashian clan just might! Kim, North, and Saint, as well as other family members often make it a point to show up every Sunday.

North West has taken to performing

North West used to be just a viewer at the service, not anymore! Onlookers spotted the little girl dancing up a storm on more than one occasion. If that wasn’t endearing enough, now the six-year-old performer is raising the stakes. How? Instead of just sharing her funky moves with the super exclusive attendees, she’s singing too!

During one of last month’s performances, North, Saint, and their cousin Penelope Disick all popped up on stage in their Sunday best. The adorable trio joined the rest of the choir to sing Sinead O’ Conner’s, “Nothing Compares 2 U“. The 1990 hit track came long before any of them were born, but that didn’t keep the kids from giving it their all.

This also wasn’t the first time North took to the mic during the Sunday Service. During one of April’s services, North borrowed a mic and dragged it (and it’s stand) to the center of the stage so everyone could see her. She even took the mic down so she could move more freely. While some may consider this a big no-no, Kanye clearly loved his daughter’s bravado. A smile was plastered across his face the entire time as he had front row seats (at the keyboard behind her) to the whole performance.

It’s clear (and verified by Kim) that channeling her father’s energy to perform really makes her day. In fact, Sunday Service has become the young entertainers favorite day of the week!

Perhaps Kanye’s bedtime songs play a role

Without a doubt, North’s parents definitely play a significant role in her love for the stage. With Kim K being a reality star for the ages and Kanye being a musical genius, it’s no surprise that little North has picked up on a thing or two over the years. During an appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix original, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction; Kanye opened up about his private life to the masses.

According to Kanye West, he enjoys singing to his children before bed. A fly on the wall wouldn’t hear lyrics floating through the house from “All of the Lights” or “Mercy” though. Instead, Kanye takes the time to get his creative juices flowing. He freestyles one-of-a-kind songs, exposing his children to new words and arrangements night after night. If things stay on track, it looks like North will be ready to fill her father’s shoes in no time.
