Ben and Jerry's is launching a NEW brown sugar ice cream with cookie swirls for Valentine's Day

The new flavour is called "Topped Love is" and it's packed with brown sugar ice cream, laced with a cookie swirl and scattered with pink salted caramel cups.

It's then also topped off with a thick pink layer of goodness and a few pink hearts.

At a £5.49 price tag per tub, the 500ml tubs are more expensive than Ben & Jerry's traditional flavours, which usually cost £4.50.

But the proceeds will go to charity Refugee Action, the ice cream maker said, although it hasn't yet clarified exactly how much.

The sweet-and-salty flavour is launching in February just in time for Valentine's Day across major supermarkets in the UK, although the exact date can vary.

As you might expect, the icy treat isn't the healthiest one around by containing 273 calories per 100ml portion – or a whopping 1,365 calories for the whole tub.

If you're not fussed about the new flavours, supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda and Ocado are selling tubs of traditional flavours including cookie dough and chocolate fudge brownie for only £3, down from £4.50.

Rebecca Baron, Ben & Jerry’s social mission manager, said: "At Ben & Jerry’s we’re all about sharing the love, whether that’s the love of ice cream or the love of one person for another.

"So we’ve unapologetically dreamed up a flavour straight from the heart to share a little love with our friends at Refugee Action for those who need it most."

In September, Ben & Jerry's launched a new winter flavour with a seasonal twist to see ice cream fans through the colder months.

The same month it also brought back its popular mint chocolate flavour.

Or if being healthier is one of your New Year's resolutions, the ice cream maker is also doing a low calorie range.
