Topshop launches its first vegan shoe collection featuring faux snakeskin heels and chunky sliders
TOPSHOP has taken its first steps towards an eco-friendly future by launching a collection of vegan footwear.
The high-street brand is following in the footsteps of other fashion labels who have started recognising the huge impact the fashion industry has on the environment.

Taking to social media to announce their beautiful new selection of animal-free footwear, Topshop invited shoppers to "discover [their] new range of vegan shoes, made from materials that are completely free from animal products."
The 10 versatile styles are PETA-approved, handmade in Spain – and perfect for summer.
From a pair of timeless loop sandals, to black strappy heels that would be perfectly paired with just about anything, the range focuses on a selection of black, tan, white and nude styles.
There's also a hint of snake print too, including a pair of slingback mules to pair with jeans and a chic spring blazer.
Prices range between £49-£59 with the majority of styles available in a range of colours.
"We are really excited to be launching our first vegan collection this April," said Topshop's fashion director, Maddy Evans.
"Initially we are focusing on footwear and introducing six new styles that are produced alongside our premium shoe lines in Spain.
"We can't wait to see how shoppers respond to the design-led collection and how far we can push vegan products across our accessories offering."

Since the news was announced this morning, shoppers have been praising Topshop, with one commenting: "Yes, finally!"
While another said: "Those snakeskin ones are stunning."
