The ‘doting’ Queen puts little presents at the foot of Prince George’s bed every time he stays over at Buckingham Palace, royal expert claims – The Sun

THE Queen is said to place little presents at the foot of Prince George’s bed every time he sleeps over at Buckingham Palace.

The young royal, who turned six today, is third in line to the throne and is said to be a favourite of Her Majesty.

The Queen is said to go “out of her way to spend time with him”, and the tot has endeared himself to the 93-year-old by giving her the nickname “Gan Gan”.

Royal expert Richard Price revealed to Fabulous Digital: “The doting Queen, meanwhile, takes time to select little presents that she leaves at the foot of George’s bed every time he stays over.

“It is telling that the Queen, who is expert at not appearing to have any favourites, goes out of her way to spend time with young George.”

The insider also revealed that the young royal “has a playful side, his natural inclination is to be more serious than Charlotte.”

Richard wrote: “He is also known to be shyer than his little sister, however his father Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, has repeatedly implied in interviews that young George can be ‘a handful’.

“Those lucky enough to know him well say that while he may appear shy at first, once George is comfortable in your company he is an open, chatty and deeply inquisitive little boy.”

Prince George is celebrating his sixth birthday with his family in Mustique, but is expected to get his school friends from St Thomas's Battersea together over the summer.

To mark the occasion, Kensington Palace released three cute photos of a beaming Prince George taken by Kate.

“George likes people,” a friend told Richard. “Whether he has learned this from his father or it simply comes naturally, he first likes to be sure that he can trust them.

"Growing up surrounded by courtiers, you learn fast that not everybody has your best interests at heart.

“He hits it off best with those people who are most comfortable in their own skin. His favourite uncle is Mike Tindall, because he larks about and never takes himself too seriously.”
