Shoppers go wild for 99p banana shampoo claiming it smells ‘amazing’ and it’s the dupe of a £6 Body Shop version

BEAUTY fans are scrambling to get their hands on a 99p banana shampoo and conditioner which they claim is the dupe of a Body Shop version costing over six times more.

The XHC shampoo and conditioner is described as “nourishing… enriched with banana to leave your hair feeling sleek and smooth.”

And the paraben free hair care has proven a hit with bargain hunters who have taken to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains, run by money saving mum Holly Smith, to share their glowing reviews.

One wrote: “I’ve seen the craze of the banana shampoo which you can buy from Savers or Poundland and I have to say it’s really good.

“My hair is thick and coarse and it left it weightless and shiny it was brilliant. I’ve used the body shop one before and that’s good but that’s £6 and this is 99p. Well worth the money, I may have to stock up.”

Agreeing another said: “These smell fabulous, and the Savers in Basildon has them for 99p, cheaper tha Poundshop. Amazingggg.”

This isn’t the first bargain beauty product to send shoppers into a frenzy.

The Suddenly Madame Glamour is being hailed as “identical” to the classic Coco Chanel Mademoiselle scent which is priced at £86 for a 100ml bottle.

Both fragrances feature notes of bergamot, rose and jasmine but the Lidl version is just a fraction of the price.
