'Love Island makes teens see fake boobs and puffy lips as the easy way to fame and cash,’ says Kelly Brook

KELLY Brook fears young people aspire to look "fake" to get on shows like Love Island – and see surgery as a "quick fix" in their quest for fame.

The 90s pin-up, who's dropped two dress sizes and shed 2st since starting a SlimFast diet in October, says it's "scary" the influence reality shows can have on young girls.

The 39-year-old Heart radio host told Fabulous Digital: "I think it’s quite scary if young girls are looking up to people who are being booked for TV shows and they’ve had a hell of a lot of surgery.

"Because they think that’s the way to become successful, I think that’s quite sad.

"People just want instant fame and money these days, it seems no-one wants to learn anything, create anything or work hard.

"It seems like everyone just wants everything instantly, they want it easy."

Kelly, who at 5ft 6ins has 34FF boobs, is famous for being a natural beauty and she reckons today's obsession with fillers and fake boobs is already becoming "unfashionable".

Last year's star Megan Barton Hanson famously spent an estimated £25,000 on surgery before going on the show, getting two breast ops, lip fillers, a nose job and teeth veneers.

And the fresh wave of criticism comes as 2017 contestant Olivia Attwood, 28, got her "giant" breast implants removed last week.

She said: "It’s a trend which I hope will become unfashionable soon, but I think it’s becoming unfashionable already.

"When you see someone with fillers and fake boobs, you just think ‘oh they’ve had a lip job’ or ‘they’ve had a boob job’.

"You don’t think ‘they’ve got beautiful lips’, you can tell. There’s not that many people who do it in a brilliant way – they can get carried away.

"I’m not a perfect looking woman, I think you just have to accept yourself.

"It’s OK to better yourself but when it stops looking like you, it all starts looking a bit fake. I don’t really like the fake look.

"I think with European actresses like the French actresses who grow old gracefully, they all look beautiful and chic and classy."

Kelly also called on Love Island to feature a bigger range of bodies in future series.

She said: "I love Love Island, I think it’s great and I love looking at beautiful bodies and beautiful people.

"I think anyone young is beautiful, youth is beauty, so I think they can get away with incorporating some different body types, especially for the guys.

"Everyone on there is ripped and I just think for thinner guys, it might be nice to have a bit more of a variety. It would be interesting.

I don’t really like the fake look

"I just want people to represent the masses.

"I know it's about beautiful people hooking up with beautiful people, but beauty comes in all shapes and forms.

"My favourite couple last year was Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer and I don’t think he had a six pack, so you don’t have to look a certain way to win a show like that, or to be popular."

Kelly has been dating toyboy Italian model Jeremy Parisi, 34, since April 2015 and admitted she "piled on the pounds" before starting her diet – becoming a size 14-16 at her biggest.

But she's now a slim size 10-12, revealing: "I've dropped a couple of dress sizes so I'm super happy.

"It's nice to get back into my wardrobe, there were so many pairs of jeans I couldn't fit into.

"I kept blaming people for shrinking my clothes, but they weren't.

"When I came back from LA I wasn't really doing that much, so the pounds kept piling on.

"I was always a bit of an over-eater. I’d have a main course, then I’d have a dessert, then I’d have a spoonful of Jeremy’s dessert.

"By taking the sachets before the meal, it fills you up so you don’t eat so much, which is really great.

"SlimFast approached me in September and it felt like the right time to start a weight loss programme.

"I think ultimately I need to be realistic. I’m 40 this year, your metabolism slows down, your body changes.

"I don’t want to beat myself up, I don’t want to look the way I did when I was 20, it was never really about that."

Despite being keen to grow old gracefully, Kelly says her age-gap relationship keeps her young.

She said: "Jeremy and I work out together, he goes for a run every day.

"Being with someone super fit and younger than me definitely motivates me.

"I say it’s a bit like getting cash back. All of a sudden I’m have to live the life of a 34-year-old again.

"I say to him ‘I have lived longer than you, I am more tired than you’.

"But it’s great being with someone younger because they do keep you energised and motivated."

Kelly's recent weight loss has given her a new love of fashion – and she's taking a leaf out of Holly Willoughby's books when it comes to showing off her outfits.

She said: "I’m loving shopping, I do a fashion picture on Instagram every day when I’m at Heart.  I feel like I'm 10 years younger.

"I think I’m definitely dressing a bit younger and sexier."

Kelly, who previously revealed her man called her a "balloon" when she gained weight, added: "Jeremy's Italian so he likes curvy women anyway.

"He loves me whatever size I am."

And there's no danger of Kelly's famous assets fading away, with the glamour model revealing: "My boobs never go anywhere unfortunately, if anything they just get bigger.

"The thinner I get, the bigger they look."

Kelly is celebrating her lost two stone weight loss milestone with SlimFast in six months.

To lose weight, she’s used SlimFast Advanced Vitality 4in1 Action sachets and capsules.
