Girl reveals genius hack to ensure you’ll never lose you Apple Airpod headphones again by hooking them to your earrings

Gabrielle Reilly, 22, from Virginia, shared the innovative creation on Twitter where the 14-second clip racked up more than 3.45 million views.

Paralegal Gabrielle was inspired to make the earrings to prevent the small buds from going missing.

The video on social media shows Gabrielle modelling the pods as earrings and also using them as headphones without removing them from the ears.

Gabrielle, 22, said: “A lot of people either tell me I'm a genius or question the design.

“I think AirPod earrings was an idea a lot of people had, but didn't know how to realise the concept.

“I have been making jewellery ever since I can remember because my mom is very into DIY.

“Initially, I had put the AirPods on a chain necklace because I absolutely refuse to lose them.

“A lot of people ask ‘why not just get regular earphones?’ and I wanted AirPods because my cat has chewed through numerous wired earphones and I was tired of it.

“The necklace held up really well, so I thought, ‘why not make earrings?’

“It was more or less a joke, especially considering how AirPods have become a meme – but it was a functional joke.”

The AirPods are fully functional and can easily be removed from the earring if required, meaning there’s no need to carry around a second pair.

Gabrielle was surprised by the huge positive reaction people had to the stylish, yet functional, accessory.

Gabrielle said: “I didn’t expect any of this at all. I'm super thankful for the support though, it has been quite an interesting experience.

“A majority of the reactions are jokes in response to AirPods but it's all fun, I enjoy seeing all the interactions with my posts.”

Gabrielle is selling custom AirPod earrings online for $20 (£15.23) and has plans to expand the range.

Gabrielle said: “In the future I'm going to be selling more jewellery which aren't tech related but I'm still very excited about it.”
