‘Creepy’ mother-of-the groom shoves bride out of the way for intimate dance with her son – and insisted on wearing white too – The Sun
A MOTHER-of-the-groom has been slammed by a fellow wedding guest after she insisted on having a “creepy” dance with her son on his wedding day.
The bride’s uncle took to Reddit to share pictures of their bizarre moment together under the username cyndvu.
The photos also showed that the mum had chosen to wear a white lace dress for her son’s wedding.
Captioning the images the Redditor wrote: “Mother-in-law wore a sheer white lace dress to the wedding.
“(She) and groom had a creepy mother/son dance, and (she) latched onto groom in an awkward hug.
“I am so glad that they live 1,000 miles away from the in-laws.”
And it seems others were equally creeped out by the pictures, which received dozens of comments from outraged Reddit users.
One wrote: “Jeez, I thought the newlyweds were dancing and the other woman in the wedding dress was the MIL.
“How does he not feel icky? I feel icky.”
Agreeing another said: “Hurk. Ick. At first glance, I thought that the MIL was the one in the poofy dress. Wow. Where was a bridesmaid with the red wine or a gardener with a hose when you need them?!”
A third commented: “Am I the only one who thinks she should have been made to change or leave!?
“Like why the hell is she allowed to do the mother son dance after that s***. I feel so sorry for your niece.”
“Eewwwwwww at her holding him from behind! Eww ewww ewwwww” wrote a fourth.
Meanwhile another pointed out: “It's kinda creepy that mom and son appear to have their foreheads touching.”
The original poster then confirmed that the mum and son were indeed touching foreheads in the picture.
He also revealed that the remainder of the wedding guests were watching the “train wreck” from inside due to the heat.
The photos were shared on the subreddit r/JUSTNOMIL.
