Terrence Howard Ordered to Pay Ex-Wife More Than $1M in Spousal Support

On Friday, August 23, a judge in Los Angeles Superior Court ruled the 50-year-old actor should be paying Michelle Ghent more because of his success on ‘Empire’.

AceShowbiz -“Hustle & Flow” star Terrence Howard has been ordered to pay his ex-wife $1.3 million (£1 million) in backdated spousal support.

Michelle Ghent scored the windfall in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday (August 23), when a judge ruled the actor should be paying his ex more, based on his success on TV show “Empire“.

Howard is reportedly making over $250,000 (£204,000)-per-episode on the hit drama, in which he plays music mogul Lucious Lyon.

According to TMZ, Ghent, who was married to Terrence from 2010 to 2013, filed documents last year (18), requesting more than $900,000 (£733,000) in back spousal support.

The actor will find himself even more out of pocket next week (beg August 26), when the judge determines how much he should pay Ghent to cover her legal fees.
