Susan Boyle: Britain’s Got Talent favourite set to make ‘HUGE comeback’ to show after loss

Susan Boyle, 57, has reportedly been selected as a favourite to join a brand new Britain’s Got Talent spin-off programme. The show, Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, is set to feature a host of finalists from previous years of the series, all competing against each other for the ultimate prize. Another possible contender, who may be added to the lineup of legends, is dog trainer Ashleigh Butler, who stole the hearts of the nation when she won the 2012 series with her dancing dog Pudsey. After Pudsey died in 2017, Ashleigh is now partnered up with her new border collie Sully instead.

Expected to be hosted by Ant and Dec, the new talent show follows on from its American counterpart, which Susan took part in earlier this year.

The singer reached the finals of America’s Got Talent: The Champions, but unfortunately  missed out on being crowned the winner.

As a result, Simon Cowell is reportedly determined to give his protégé another chance to triumph on the British rendition.

A source told The Sun: “American viewers were furious when SuBo didn’t win and now Simon wants to give her a second shot by getting her on the British version of the show.”

They added: “Susan’s a great competitor, has a fascinating back story and is really popular with the British public

“She came in second in her original appearance and got near on AGT – so this could be third time lucky.”

Susan became an unlikely star when her first audition from the 2009 season of BGT went viral across the world.

She astonished judges Simon, Piers Morgan, and Amanda Holden with her performance of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Misérables.

The judges and audience were initially sceptical of the Scottish vocalist, but she managed to win them over with her powerful voice.

At the time, Piers described Susan’s audition as “the biggest surprise” in the show’s history.

In spite of losing out to dance troupe Diversity in the final, Susan went on to sell over 19 million albums worldwide and received two Grammy Awards nominations.

Her forthcoming album, Ten, will be released on May 31 and will be celebrating the star’s successful decade in show business.

Although Susan is now reportedly worth £20 million, she has her feet planted firmly on the ground.

She still lives in her parents’ council house, which she prefers over expensive alternatives.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Susan explained: “I just want to entertain people, I want to make them happy. Money doesn’t bother me

“My life has changed in that I’ve got a lot of people around me, I’ve got a nicer house and stuff like that but those are material things.”
