Scotty T has admitted he snorts cocaine every week but he’s adamant he’s not addicted.
The former Geordie Shore star went to rehab twice in a bid to cut down his raging drug habit after he found himself taking cocaine every day.
Scotty, 30, was axed from the reality show in 2018 after being caught on camera snorting a suspicious substance.
He’s now explained that he turned to drugs after shooting to fame before getting clean in 2017.
But after series of family tragedies, including the death of his step dad, his habit spiralled out of control again.
He checked himself into a clinic in Thailand to get help.
Scotty says he’s now much healthier, but still takes cocaine "recreationally".
Speaking to The Sun , he explained: "I take it on a recreational basis but it’s not a necessity like it used to be. I know my limits…
"I know my triggers. Yes I might do it recreationally but I don’t need it anymore."
Scotty found fame in 2012 when he joined the cast of X-rated reality show alongside stars including Charlotte Crosby and Vicky Pattison.
He says he was initially very anti-drugs, but he found it hard to resist temptations that came his way during his time in the spotloght.
The reality star says he used cocaine to cope with his heavy work load, which included filming for the show and doing nightclub PAs up and down the country.
He first went to rehab in in Scotland in 2017, but after getting clean he fell back into the party lifestyle and began using again.
Life then got even harder for the star as a number of close friends died, as well as his step dad, and then he close close friend Sophie Gradon in 2018.
After reaching an all time low, he booked himself into the facility in Thailand to sort himself out.
Scotty says a two and a half month cleanse helped him beat his depression and cut back on his drug habit.
He’s now hoping to focus on resurrecting his TV career after ditching the PAs.
Scotty found a slot on Just Tattoo Of Us alongside Charlotte Crosby will be seen back on Geordie Shore this summer in a brief cameo role.
